Prosecutors Say Hezbollah Laundered $300 Million In U.S. Buying Used Cars and Shiping Them to West Africa for Resale, I Told You About This In Tampa 9 Years Ago.

 

 

FOX NEWS NEW YORK – Federal authorities blamed Lebanese financial institutions Thursday for wiring more than $300 million into the United States in a money-laundering scheme they said used the U.S. financial system to benefit the militant group Hezbollah.The U.S. government said in the lawsuit filed in a Manhattan federal court that it seeks nearly a half-billion dollars in money-laundering penalties from some Lebanese financial entities, 30 U.S. car buyers and a U.S. shipping company. It also said it’s entitled to claim their assets as forfeitable under U.S. money-laundering laws

Prosecutors said the $300 million was wired from Lebanon to the United States and used to buy used cars and ship them to West Africa. They said Hezbollah money-laundering channels were used to ship proceeds from the car sales and narcotics trafficking back to Lebanon.

In connection with the filing of the complaint, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York submitted an application for a restraining order that would prohibit the transfer, sale, or dissipation of the assets of approximately 30 U.S. car buyers (USED CAR DEALERS) and a U.S. shipping company and related entities, and requiring these U.S. car buyers (USED CAR DEALERS) to provide an accounting of their assets.

The accusations came two days after an indictment in federal court in Virginia accused fugitive Ayman Joumaa of leading a drug conspiracy that provided income for Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed Lebanese militant group that the U.S. has branded a terrorist organization.From approximately Jan. 1, 2007, to early 2011, at least $329 million was transferred by wire from LCB, the Hassan Ayash Exchange Company, the Ellissa Exchange Company and other Lebanese financial institutions, including Middle East and Africa Bank, the Federal Bank of Lebanon and BLOM Bank, to the United States for the purchase and shipment of used cars.

 

The car buyers in the United States typically had little or no property or assets other than the bank accounts used to receive the overseas wire transfers. The cars were primarily shipped to Cotonou, Benin, where they were housed and sold from large car parks, including one owned by the Ellissa Group, a subsidiary of Ellissa Holding.

 

A Washington-based Drug Enforcement Administration spokesman, Lawrence R. Payne, told The Associated Press in February that Joumaa’s organization laundered money using 30 used car lots in the United States. Cars were exported to Lebanon and West Africa.World Auto Sales on Green Springs Avenue in Birmingham AL is mentioned in the complaint. Of the dealerships mentioned, World Auto has the second highest dollar total of wire transfers, with 490 transactions totaling $24,064,172. According to the company website, World Auto Sales was founded in 1990 by Ahmad and Bassam Hammoud “to accommodate the growing need for quality wholesale and export vehicles to the World.”

Two Maryland Businesses Used Car lots Used in Hezbollah Money Laundering Scheme, Forty-three wires totaling $2,157,047 were sent to ARZ Export and 193 wires totaling $7,150,253 went to Hijazi General Trading, according to court documents. Proceeds from the sale of the cars and cocaine in West Africa were sent back to Lebanon, according to court documents. A significant portion of the money went to Hezbollah.

U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said the civil case brought Thursday reveals a massive international scheme in which Lebanese financial institutions, including banks and two exchange houses linked to Hezbollah, passed money through the U.S. financial system to launder narcotics trafficking and other criminal proceeds through West Africa and back into Lebanon.

The criminal gang was using cocaine money to buy Luxury cars in the U.S., the vehicles were exported to West Africa, where they are resold for up to double their value, with the proceeds going back to Lebanon. The “dirty” money from the drug slaes is effectively “washed” by purchasing the Luxury cars for cash, no cash goes into any bank for crutiny by the Fed’s, “The Cars Become The Cash” and when exported and resold for double what the gang paid, you make a 100% profit on your drug sales, nice deal.

The criminal gang in question is said to be “Drug King-pin Ayman Joumaa and his Lebanon-based drug trafficking and money laundering network,” They were themselves blacklisted by U.S. officials last month and its alleged that LBC is their preferred money-laundering vehicle, to the tune of up to $200-million a month.

Body Found on Harness Road in Dyer County TN Could Be Karen Johnson Swift, Is There A Serial Killer On The Loose.

NEWS CHANNEL 3 (Dyersburg, TN 12/10/11) – The Dyer County Sheriff’s Department says a badly decomposed body belonging to a woman was found on Harness Road Saturday afternoon, SEE MAP OF AREA CLICK HERE

 

Those that live in the area fear the body could belong to the missing mother of four, Karen swift. The Dyer County woman went missing in the early morning hours of October 30th.

 

KLTV-ACTION NEWS…Body found off of Highway 78 near Dyer County. “I heard Karen Swift was found at the graveyard up here on Bledsoe,” said resident Madeline Mann. Mann said she has followed the case of missing 44-year-old Swift from the beginning. “Whoever done it is sick,” said Mann. “You shouldn’t do that to someone.”

FROM Harness Rd to Route 78 in Dyersburg TN which links to I-155 and then to I-55 in Hayti MO and out of the area, a 32 minute drive.

 

Investigators found her car on the side of Millsfield Highway with a flat tire. Swift was nowhere to be found. The Sheriff’s Department searched the area by helicopters, horseback, and four-wheelers hoping to find something that would lead them to Swift.

 

Karen Swift  lives off of Willie Johnson Road, just a few miles from where the body was found. One neighbor told News Channel 3 that she was not aware of the sheriff’s department ever searching the area where the decomposed body was found.

 

Investigators have not confirmed the body found this afternoon, Saturday Dec. 10th, belongs to the 44-year-old woman. It has been sent to the Shelby County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the identity and cause of death.

To put the distances between the 6 abducted petite women in perspective, it is only 30 miles from Florence KY to Fairfield OH, it is only 80 miles from Darden TN to Dyersburg TN, it is only 130 miles between Bloomington IN and Florence KY and the same for Fairfield OH.

 

For some reason all the dates when the six petite women go missing have a 3 in it, like the 3rd, the 13th, the 23rd and the 30th, also the 3rd and the 13th are repeated twice, very odd?

 

The basis of the theory is that all of the SIX abductions take place within a 298 mile radius of Louisville KY, with Darden TN the furthest point at 298 miles and Florence KY the nearest point at 88 miles, all of the locations are at most a 4  hour drive one way from the Louisville KY area.  The reason for Louisville KY as center to the SIX abductions  is due to the fact a sexual predator is on the loose in that area, more will be explained  at the end of this article.

 

Two women are abducted from Kentucky, Two women are abducted from Tennessee, One woman abducted from Indiana and One woman abducted from Ohio, they all have shoulder length blonde or red hair and are very petite sized white females between the ages of 17 and 34, there has been no trace of any of the women, there are no suspects.

 

 

UPDATE..FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) – Fairfield Police Chief Michael Dickey says the department believes Katelyn Markham is not in the Fairfield area. “Within the past week we’ve gotten one lead that we’re looking at, and as early as two weeks ago, I got an email out of Florida with someone who provided us with some information,” Dickey said.

UPDATE.. Bloomington IN, Lauren Spierer case, The latest evidence in the case shows that Spierer was so incapacitated (drunk) when she left her apartment building the morning she went missing that she stumbled out of her elevator, fell against a wall and had to be helped to her feet by a male friend who led her out of the building, Luren Spierer was an easy target for a predator. Police believe she is a victim of foul play.

PIKEVILLE, Ky — Crystal Gayle (Branham) Hall, of Pikeville, was reported as a missing person to the Kentucky State Police on March 3rd, 2009, investigators say there is no trace of Hall who would be 27 now.  This woman looks very young for 24 as seen in the photo above.

 

Crystal Hall, DOB 4/26/1984, is very petite at 5′ 3″ tall, weighs about 105 pounds and is of fair complexion. She has shoulder-length red hair and brown eyes. Crystal Hall possibly has the letter “H” tattooed on a lower leg. Her teeth are reported to be straight. Crystal Hall was last seen at 108 Kentucky Avenue in Pikeville. She has not had any contact with her family since March 3rd, 2009.

 

According to her grandmother, Crystal Gail Branham Hall is a loving person.The stress and emotion of not knowing what has happened to her granddaughter is written on her face. When speaking of her granddaughter, she turns pale, and she begins to cry.

 

Crystal Hall lived on Kentucky Avenue in Pikeville, and, according to her grandmother, Crystal Hall last spoke to a friend of hers on March 3, 2009, Crystal cut the call short saying there was someone in her house. Her family has had no contact with Crystal Hall since that day. Crystal Hall is a petite woman, about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 105 pounds. She has a fair complexion and red hair.

WANTED by the Louisville Metro Police Department, Kentucky State Police and the U.S. Marshals Service, James E. Gunterman jr. aka “Big Jim” Gunterman who is 5′ 11″ tall and weighs between 220 lbs and 250 lbs..

 

A man the size of ”Big Jim” Gunterman would have no problem in abducting any of the six petite missing women, Karen Swift, Holly Bobo, Lauren Spierer, Paige Johnson, Crystal Hall and Katelyn Markham.

 

James E. Gunterman Jr. aka “Big Jim” Gunterman is a match for the man who kidnapped Holly Bobo, James Gunterman jr had a warrant issued for his arrest in Louisville KY in Feb. 2009, one month later, in March of 2009, Crystal Hall went “missing” in Pikeville KY.

 

Cops have not seen JAMES EDMOND GUNTERMAN jr.  for over two years, his weight will vary from what is listed on his wanted poster, especially due to the fact that the Louisville Metro Police Department, Kentucky State Police and the U.S. Marshals Service are after him.
