Two young women from the Gulf South area are currently missing: Mickey Shunick from Lafayette LA and Brittany Nicole Wood, her photo above, from Alabama. Mickey Shunick Date Missing: Saturday, May 19th, 2012, Brittany Nicole Wood Date Missing: Wednesday, May 30th, 2012.

Petite blonde female Mickey Shunick from Lafayette LA went missing May 19th and her bike was found under a I-10 bridge heading East towards Mobile AL. Petite blonde female Brittany Nicole Wood of Tillmans Corner AL went missing May 30th near I-10 just a few miles from Mobile AL, see map location CLICK HERE.  Cops will soon claim there is no connection, again.

MOBILE, Alabama — Mobile police were searching Friday for a 19-year-old woman whose family recently reported her missing, said Cpl. Christopher Levy, a department spokesman.  The family of Brittney Wood filed a missing person report on June 2, Levy said. Wood’s family told police that the last time they saw her was May 30.

According to reports from WKRG-TV5, Wood told family members she was headed to a house near Styx River to visit her uncle, Donnie Wood. The family told the station that Donnie Wood returned home near Fairhope on Friday and shot himself. Brittney Wood has not been seen since, the station reported. According to a narrative on a social network Facebook missing persons section, the last cell phone transmission indicated that Wood was in the Styx River area.

Maj. Anthony Lowery, spokesman for the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, said Friday that deputies checked the area around Waterworld Road on Wednesday and Thursday, but found nothing.  “The road runs parallel to Interstate 10 and is a few hundred yards, at best, off the interstate,” he said. “We don’t know if she was with her cell phone or if she passing through on the interstate.” MORE FROM THIS SOURCE.

The family said Wood’s last cell phone signal came from around the Styx River area. At least 15 friends and family searched for her around that area Thursday. They’ve used social networking sites to try to spread the word.  She was last heard from May 30th. Last seen May 31st at a house on Waterworld Road. “She’s a 19 year old girl,” says her mother Chessie. “She’s addicted to Facebook. The last time she posted was Wednesday night. I don’t think since Facebook was invented she has been off that long.”

 

” I don’t know if she’s okay, I don’t know if she’s been hurt, if she’s been killed…I don’t know,”said Wood’s father, Wallace Hanke. Newsflash for the Louisiana Police, when a possible kidnapped victim’s bike is found under a I-10 bridge heading East out of your jurisdiction you might want to expand your search area to the surrounding states and contact FBI profilers about similar unsolved  ”missing petite blonde females who all are about the same size, age and all look alike.

One or two times maybe even three times a missing female case with victims who are in the same age group, size, race and overall appearance is a coincidence, 8 times or more is a pattern, I would call that a clue.

MSNBC NEWS….The disappearance of a Louisiana college student Michaela “Mickey” Shunick is not related to a similar case in Indiana or any others, Lafayette police said Tuesday at a news conference where they unveiled new evidence.  Shunick disappeared May 19. Her bicycle was found Sunday under water and with a damaged rear tire in Atchafalaya Basin, Cpl. Paul Mouton revealed. State crime lab investigators are going over the bicycle for evidence but police believe a perpetrator who took Shunick climbed down an Interstate 10 bridge embankment and dumped it in the basin, Mouton said.  Lafayette police have talked to officials in Bloomington, Ind., where the nearly year-old case of missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer, 20, remains unsolved, Mouton said. Both cases involve petite, blonde students, and white pickups with crew cabs were spotted near the last places each student was last seen alive. “We don’t feel those two cases are connected,” Mouton said. NBC station WTHR of Indianapolis reported. Lauren Spierer, missing Louisiana student’s case share similarities. BLOOMINGTON - The “Lauren Spierer missing” signs around Bloomington are a constant reminder of a now almost-year-old mystery. Now Bloomington police want to know if Lauren’s case is tied to a missing Louisiana student’s disappearance. “That’s a little eerie, yeah eerie,” said two students when we showed them photos and facts in two missing student’s cases. Cases with real similarities. Lauren’s story is a lot like Michaela Shunick’s. She went missing May 19th in Lafayette, La., and now Bloomington police want to compare notes with police there.

The Louisiana college student also left a friend’s house alone at about 2 in the morning. Lauren left her friend’s townhome alone about 4:30 a.m.  Both girls are blonde, both petite, with two inches difference in their height. Lauren weighs 95 pounds, Mickey 115. “That’s creepy,” said two IU students. Who Kidnapped Petite Blonde Females Mickey Shunick, Lauren Spierer, Holly Bobo, Heather Hodges, Kelli Bordeaux and Brittanee Drexel and many others. Look at the photos above, all the girls are petite blonde white females who have been abducted and vanished without a trace. When will the FBI connect the dots in all these cases and release a profile of the perp or perps, when will the FBI release a warning bulletin to the public?

I had a conversation Tuesday May 29th 2012 with the mother of kidnapped Heather Hodges in Rocky Mount VA and I was somewhat (but not really) surprised to learn that the Frankin County Sheriff Department that is investigating the Heather Hodges case was unaware that other petite blonde females that matched the overall description of Heather Hodges have also gone missing with no suspects or person of intrerset named, see list below;

Mickey Shunick Update No Connection: White Pickup Found Truck in East Texas Has Been Cleared Driver Was Away Working on Offshore Oil Rig.

Mickey Shunick Update: the white pickup truck found in East Texas motel parking lot on Friday June 8th, 2012 has been cleared, the driver was away working on Offshore Oil Rig. There is no connection of this white pickup truck found in East Texas motel parking lot to the missing Mickey Shunick case.

Investigators continue to seek information on the newer model white Z-71 pickup truck. The investigation remains ongoing.

There is a $25,000 Reward for any information leading to the whereabouts of Mickey Shunick, no questions asked.  The reward is capped at this amount.
