CBS 10 NEWS TV TAMPA Spetember 1st, 2012. Police say the threat of violence was real. Sanitary workers found caches of poles and bricks in unusual places. And undercover intelligence revealed that some protesters had weapons in their backpacks. However, a strong showing of force and a willingness to de-escalate tensions proved successful. “They were wanting to feed off our aggression. We didn’t give them that and as a result, we just shut’em down,” said Col. Ed Duncan of the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office.
“They were here to cause trouble,” said Hillsborough Sheriff David Gee. “We will not tolerate it. Other peaceful protesters are welcome, but not people causing inciting a riot, and that’s what they tried to do.” Law enforcement sources tell 10 News that they heard rumors that the “Black Bloc” would be used to storm the Bank of America or a parking garage as protesters demonstrated during the march.
BRICKS AND PIPES ON ROOFTOPS: Ross Bulla founder of Treadstone Group, Inc., calls it a favorite trick of anarchists. “The items that they anticipate they may want in advance, they will stockpile on roofs like this or in areas that are concealable on ground level as well. We’re talking bricks, we’re talking rocks, we’re talking pipes or polls.”
TAMPA TRIBUNE September 1st, 2012. Seized items could have been dangerous during RNC. Police seized metal poles, concrete blocks and other items they said could have been used as weapons by protesters.
The caches were scattered throughout downtown, Tampa police Chief Jane Castor said. Officers found the items as far north as Scott Street and as far south as Whiting Street, about two blocks from the Forum, where the GOP convention sessions were held. “This appeared to be the work of several groups,” Castor said. “We can’t say definitely that all these items were to be used as weapons. But if we cleaned them up and more were stashed again, we suspect they were.”

On Tuesday August 28th, 2012 at 1:58 pm I was at Freedom Park where I spotted a dark hair mystery man and his pal, a pasty white and pale male with long red hair, I had first did surveillance on these two on Tuesday August 21st. The two them were walking away from Freedom Park on N. Albany Ave, this was very odd as there was a unscheduled impromptu march to downtown Tampa that was to start at 2:00 pm.
I followed the dark hair mystery man and his pal as they walked up N. Albany To W. Chestnut St to an old run down house in the 2100 block of W. Chestnut St. The dark hair mystery man was carrying a rather large fanny pack type black bag with a big red cross on it, the dark hair mystery man was not one of the protesters ‘street medics’, he was a organizer. The dark hair mystery man and his pal went into the house in the 2100 block of W. Chestnut St., they were inside for about 5 minutes they came out and the fanny pack type black bag with a big red cross on it seemed somewhat stuffed and pushed out.
The dark hair mystery man and his pal returned to Freedom Park just as the march was leaving for downtown Tampa, I followed and as I followed the group in the march they were all followed by various law enforcement undercover SUV vehicles. As we headed on W. Main Street towards the Univ of Tampa I pulled along side one of the undercover SUV’s and motioned to the officer in the passenger seat to pull down his window, he did and I told him that two guys had made a quick stop at what appears to be a safe house on W. Chestnut St just before the march and the police officer said, “yeah we know who they are and we saw it”!
No Police Chief or Mayor in any city in the USA or in Europe has ever been able to shut down and control the violence of the Black Bloc or Anon except for what TPD Boss jane Castor did in Tampa Fl. These violent anarchist groups became a non-entity, a minor footnote in the Tampa RNC, a joke and and an embarrassment for anybody in the protest business, LOL. Good luck Charlotte DNC.
